If a wicked person brings you any news, examine it carefully, lest you should harm anyone in ignorance and afterwards you may have to repent for what you did.

[Al-Quran Surah 49: Verse 6]

Do not be among those who associate partners with Allah; (i.e.) of those who caused divisions in their Deen and became divided into sects, every sect rejoicing in what it has.

[Al-Quran Surah 30: Verse 31-32]

And do not be like those who became divided (and disunited) and fell into differences (and disputations) among themselves even though the clear proofs and evidences had come to them. It is them for whom is a great punishment.

[Al-Quran Surah 3: Verse 105]

Do not enter houses other than your own without obtaining willing permission and without first greeting the inmates with peace. That is better for you (and you have been given this commandment) that you may be heedful. But if you find nobody inside do not enter therein unless permission is granted to you (by the rightful owners or caretakers of the house).

And if you are told (by whom you wish see) to return (because they are not willing or free to see you at the moment), then return back; that would be more befitting for you. Indeed Allah is Well-Aware of all that you do.

It is no fault on your part to enter (freely) into non-residential houses (or places which do not belong to anyone) wherein some goods are lying belonging to you (or wherein you could find something useful for you). And Allah knows best what you reveal and what you conceal.

[Al-Quran Surah 24: Verse 27-29]

And when you enter (your) houses, greet your people (therein) with a salutation full of blessings and purity (as) prescribed by Allah.

[Al-Quran Surah 24: Verse 61]

When you are greeted with a greeting, greet in return with a better greeting, or (at least) with the same greeting.

[Al-Quran Surah 4: Verse 86]

If you are asked to make room (for others) in your assemblies (or get-togethers), then make ample room; Allah will make ample room for you.

[Al-Quran Surah 58: Verse 11]

And do not revile those whom they call upon besides Allah, lest they should spitefully revile Allah through lack of knowledge.

[Al-Quran Surah 6: Verse 108]

And do good to your parents, your family and relatives, al-yatama (i.e. orphans, widows and those who are left alone in the society), al-masakeen (i.e. the disabled or those who have lost their jobs or whose business has stalled or whose income fails to meet their needs), the near neighbours and the farther neighbours, colleagues & companions, Ibn-e-sabeel, (i.e. the needy wayfarer or the homeless son of the street) and ma malakat aymanukum, (i.e. servants and subordinates).

[Al-Quran Surah 4: Verse 36]

Do not treat the orphan with any harshness or oppression.

[Al-Quran Surah 93: Verse 9]

And do not chide or drive away (any beggar or) anyone who seeks your assistance.

[Al-Quran Surah 93: Verse 10]

Do not render in vain your charity by reminders of your generosity or by hurting (the feelings of the charity receivers), like him who spends his wealth for a show off to people.

[Al-Quran Surah 2: Verse 264]

And cooperate with one another in righteous and lawful deeds and do not cooperate with one another in immoral and illegal acts.

Do not confer or conspire with one another to do anything immoral or illegal.

[Al-Quran Surah 58: Verse 9]

Do you enjoin others to do good and forget (to do the same) yourself?

[Al-Quran Surah 2: Verse 44]

Why do you say that which you do not do?

[Al-Quran Surah 61: Verse 2]

For Allah’s sake, steadfastly stand up as witnesses in all fairness, even though it be against yourself or (against your) parents or (against your) relatives, and whether it be (against) someone rich or any poor. (Bear in mind) Allah is more regardful (and well-wisher) of them (than you think you are). Therefore, let not your emotional attachments or lust (for the worldly benefits) deviate you from justice. And if you distort or evade (true evidence) remember Allah is Well-Aware of all what you do.

[Al-Quran Surah 4: Verse 135]

Do not conceal the evidence.

[Al-Quran Surah 2: Verse 283]

For Allah’s sake, steadfastly stand up as witnesses in all fairness, and do not let the hatred or enmity of a people deviate you from justice. (Always) be just; this is closer to being a person of piety and integrity.

[Al-Quran Surah 5: Verse 8]

And do not be an advocate of the dishonest.

[Al-Quran Surah 4: Verse 105]

And when you judge between people, you should judge with justice.

[Al-Quran Surah 4: Verse 58]

[Al-Quran Surah 53: Verse 32]

[Al-Quran Surah 2: Verse 282]

Only the Principal is rightfully yours (without any interest or usury, so that) neither you shall make (the debtor) suffer any loss, nor shall you be made to suffer any loss.

[Al-Quran Surah 2: Verse 279]

And do good to your parents. If one of them or both of them attain old age in your life, say not to them any word of disrespect (or disgust), nor rebuke (or reproach) them but address them in gentle and respectful manner. Treat them with humility and compassion and pray for them: O My Lord! Bestow upon them your compassion and grace as they nourished and brought me up (with compassion) in my childhood.
