Two Categories of Musalleen

Two Categories of Musalleen

Allah has mentioned two categories of Musalleen in the Quran. One category will be honoured in the Gardens of Bliss and the other will be ruined in hell.

Category 1: Who steadfastly follow the Divine Commandments and are mindful of the real spirit of SALAAT

Who always remain diligent and steadfast in their SALAAT [70:23]

And in whose wealth there is a recognized right for the beggar and the destitute [70/24-25]

And those who believe in the reality of the Day of Judgement and Recompense [70/26]

And those who are fearful of the punishment of their Lord [70/27]

And those who preserve their chastity, except from their spouses i.e. those whom they rightfully possess [through wedlock] [70/29]

And those who are faithful to their trusts and covenants [70/32]

And those who are firm and upright in their testimonies [70/33]

And those who are assiduously observant and mindful of their SALAAT [70/34]

This first category of Musalleen will be honoured in the Gardens of Bliss.

[70/35]

Category 2: Who just ostensibly perform the religious rituals and are heedless of the real spirit of SALAAT

Who denies and belies the day of Judgment and Recompense [107/1]

Who drives away the orphan (& those who are left alone in the society) [107/2]

And does not promote the cause of feeding the poor (i.e. does not strive to end the economic exploitation of the poor and the needy) [107/3]

Who are heedless of (the spirit of) SALAAT [107/5]

Who are ostensive (in their rituals of worship) [107/6]

And who are uncharitable and withhold necessities of life from the needy [107/7]

This second category of Musalleen is ruined.

[107/4]
